Records Update

The History and Records pages of the website have finally been updated for the 2019-2020 season. The biggest update was to the records against opponents. The BAGUBAs faced 8 teams for the first time this past season, going 6-2. The Jets were victorious over Batesville, Milan, Parkway (OH), Rushville, Southridge and Union County. The fell to C0wan and Lawrenceburg. Alex Currie (40) and Blake Heyerly (32) added their names to the list of most season victories. Blake also joined the list for season pins with 23. Finally, three new brother teams joined the list. Cayden Shaffer and Loan Uhlman entered at 25th, Evan and Jacob McAfee are 40th and Chance and Cashton Reynolds are 43rd. The roster and schedule pages were cleared in anticipation of the new season. Keep your fingers crossed that we can have one. You can find all of the updated records on the team on this page.

2020 Wrestling State Finals

A BAGUBA stood on the awards platform at state wrestling for the second year in a row. Alex Currie defeated the #3 ranked 145 pound wrestler on Friday night to earn a guaranteed placement. He fell to the eventual state runner-up Saturday morning. A second loss put him in the 7th-8th place match against on old rival, William Fiechter or Southern Wells. Alex avenged his four previous losses and won 4-2 to finish in 7th place. The Jets finished tied for 62nd in the team race. The results of the Alex's matches and top team scores can be seen here.

2020 Wrestling Semi-State

Alex Currie kept the BAGUBAs' streak of state finals qualifiers alive and did it in style. After finishing second in the conference, sectional, and regional Alex claimed the Semi-State Championship with a 4-0 win over Evan Ulrick of Carrol. Blake Heyerly will be an alternate for state after wining his first match, but losing in the ticket round to eventual Champion Jake Lone of Northwood. Logan Uhlman and Gavin Cook both fell to state qualifiers in the first round. AC finished fifteenth in the team standings. 2020 Wrestling Regional

The BAGUBAs advanced five of their seven Regional entrants to the Semi-state level. Alex Currie led the way with a second place finish and Blake Heyerly finished third. Logan Uhlman, Gavin Cook and Paul Faurote placed fourth. The Jets finished sixth in the team standings. The placement round results and all other AC match results can be found here.

2020 Wrestling Sectional

Seven Jets advanced out of this year's sectional and will continue their seasons. AC finished fifth in the team standings. Three BAGUBAs; Logan Uhlman, Alex Currie, and Paul Faurote, were runners-up in their weight classes. Gavin Cook, Evan McAfee, and Blake Heyerly placed third and Eddie Everett finished fourth. These wrestlers will face Delta sectional place winners next week. The results for the placement round along with all other AC matches are available on this page.

ACAC Tournament

All 14 BAGUBAs placed in the top 6 places of their weight classes, but the Jets weren't able to win any championships and they finished third. Jay County won the championship, edging out dual champion Bluffton. Logan Uhlman, Gavn Cook, Jake Jackson, Alex Currie, Paul Faurote and Blake Heyerly all placed second as the highest finishers for AC. Jet Invitational

Mother Nature turned the 2020 Jet Invitational into a Super Dual instead of an individual tournament. Four team had to cancel due to the weather. One new team joined the event rather than travel north to the meet on their schedule. The seven teams left were paired into a dual format. The BAGUBAs faced more challenges as two wrestlers were absent due to illness. AC forfeited at least three matches in every meet, but still managed to finish with a winning record, 3-2. The Jets defeated Richmond, Parkway, and Southwood while falling to Cowan and Homestead. Logan Uhlman, Gavin Cook and Alex Currie all went 5-0 for the day and Jake Jackson finished 4-0. The next met for AC will be the conference tournament at Bluffton next Friday evening. The individual results for all five matches can be found on this page.

Delta 42 Adams Central 26

The Jets completed the dual portion of their schedule with a close loss to Delta. The meet was stayed close through the first six matches and the score was tied, but Delta pulled away with their experienced lower weight wrestlers. Blake Heyerly and Eddie Everett had pins for the BAGUBAs. Brody Anderson picked up the other six point decision with a forfeit. The AC Invitation is next on the schedule this Saturday morning. Bellmont 60 Adams Central 14

The BAGUBAs were only able to win three individual matches against rival and 2A Team State Champion Bellmont. Alex Currie scored the only fall for the Jets while Paul Faurote and Logan Uhlman had major decisions. AC will be right back in action tonight when they travel to Delta for the last dual meet of the season. The results of the individual matches for Varsity and the JV matches are found on this page.

Adams Central 43 Homestead 36

The string of close matches continued against Homestead. The Jets lead by one point going into the final match of the evening. Jake Jackson pinned his Homestead opponent to seal the win for the BAGUBAs. Drew Brunner, Paul Faurote, Blake heyerly and Brody Anderson also scored pins for AC. The Jets will face county rival Bellmont next at home on Wednesday, the 15th. The results of each individual match and the JV matches are found on here.

IHSWCA 1A Team State Duals

It was a day for close matches at team state, The BAGUBAs lost their first match by three, won the second by three, won the third by two, and lost the fourth by a tie breaker after ending the match with a tie score. All three team in their pool went 1-1 and AC finished second base on team points scored. Overall, AC finished sixth as a team even though they defeated the team that finished second. Drew Brunner, Paul Faurote and Blake Heyerly were teh only wrestlers to go undefeated for the day with Faurote winning all four matches with pins. New Haven Super Duals

AC lost a close first match to Prairie Heights, but stormed back with four wins to finish third ant the New Haven Duals. The Jets defeated Perry Meridian JV, Yorktown, Elkhart Memorial, and Maconaquah. Logan Uhlman, Gavin Cook, Cayden Shaffer, Alex Currie and Blake Heyerly all had a perfect 5-0 record for the day. Columbia City 54 Adams Central 16

Columbia City spoiled the Jets 50th anniversary celebration by taking home a 54-16 victory. Paul Faurote had the only fall in the four matches won by the BAGUBAs. Jake Jackson won a major decision while Logan Uhlman and Gavin Cook had the other two wins by decision. The results of each individual match and the JV matches are found on this page.

Adams Central 43 New Haven 33

The BAGUBAs traveled to New Haven to take on the Bulldogs in a dual meet and came away with a 43-33 victory. AC won 8 of the 11 matches that were wrestled. New Haven received 2 forfeits and Adams Central received one. The Jets were led by Paul Faurote, Blake Heyerly, Aiden Cummings, Logan Uhlman and Cayden Shaffer who all scored falls over their New Haven opponents. ACAC Duals

AC finished third in the seven team round-robin portion of ACAC season. The BAGUBAs defeated Southern Wells, Heritage, Woodlan, and Jay County. Their losses were to Bluffton and South Adams. Blake Heyerly was the only Jet to go undefeated for the tournament.  Eddie Everett, Logan Uhlman, Gavin Cook, Jake Jackson, Alex Curry and Paul Faurote all finished 5-1.The individual results for all six duals can be found on this page.

Garrett 56 Adams Central 15

The Jets fell to the Garrett Railroaders in their first home dual of the season. Only three BAGUBAs were able to defeat their Garrett opponent. Alex Currie and Blake Heyerly both won by fall while Jake Jackson had a victory by decision. Garrett is currently the number three team in the coaches 2A poll. Milan Super 6

The BAGUBAs wrestled without any Seniors and five freshmen at the Milan Super 6, but still managed to finish the day 4-1. The Jets defeated Batesville, Rushville, Milan, and Union County, but lost a 7 point decision to Lawrenceburg. Alex Currie, Blake Heyerly, Logan Uhlman, and Gavin Cook finished the day with perfect 5-0 records while Aiden Cummings and Eddie Everett went 4-1.  The results of all five matches are available on this page.

2019-20 Roster Announced

There are 23 BAGUBAs on the initial 2019-2020 roster. The team will be lead by four Seniors and six Juniors. Eleven Jets are in their first high school season. You can see the 2019 - 2020 roster by clicking the Roster link above or by clicking here.

2019-20 Schedule Posted

The schedule for 2019-2020 is now available. There is only one event change from last season. Coldwater moved their duals tournament to January, so the BAGUBAs will be traveling to Decatur Central on December 7 instead. The Jets will host 5 dual meets this year, so there will be plenty of opportunities to watch them at home. The entire 2019 - 2020 Schedule can be viewed by clicking the Schedule link above or by clicking this link.

The roster page has also been reset to prepare for 2018-2019. They will be updated after practice begins and this year's roster is known. You can still view the old pages by clicking the links at the top of the page for the year you want to view.
