Yorktown Duals

The BAGUBAs had their best finish ever at the Yorktown Duals, making it to the championship match before finishing in second place. AC defeated everyone in their pool, scoring wins over Bishop Dwenger, 43-31, New Haven, 60-12, Lakeland, 53-29, and Elkhart Memorial 65-12. That set up a match between the top two teams in the coaches Class A poll. The Jets dropped a close match to #1 Prairie Heights 38-30 in the finals. Logan Mosser, Parker Bates, Jashawn Berlanga and Alex Currie all finished the day with 5 wins and no losses. You can the result of each dual on this page.

Adams Central 39 New Haven 31

AC moved their dual record to 12-0 on the new season with a close victory over New Haven. Logan Macklin, Paul Faurote, Jashawn Berlanga and Alex Currie had pins for the Jets while Logan Mosser won by tech fall. The BAGUBAs' next match will be at the Yorktown Duals on Saturday. The match results for varsity and JV matches can be found here.

ACAC Round Robin Duals

The Jets won the ACAC Round Robin Dual Tournament for the first time since the format was initiated in 2015. AC dominated their opponents defeating Bluffton 66-12, Southern Wells 64-15, Woodlan 78-5, Heritage 54-24, South Adams 47-23 and 3-time defending champion Jay County 54-9. Alex Currie led the way going 6-0 for the tournament while Cayden Shaffer, Logan Macklin, and Parker Bates were all 5-0 and Noah Bollenbacher finished 4-0. Results of each match can be found on this page.

Coldwater Duals

The BAGUBAs started their year by defending their championship at the Coldwater Duals by going 5-0. Many of the Jets have only been practicing for two weeks dues to the extended football season, so Coach Currie used several different line-ups. Eighteen different wrestlers saw action during the day with nine of them finishing the day undefeated. Logan Mosser, Jashawn Berlanga and Alex Currie led the way by going  5-0 while Logan Macklin, Ryan Byerly and Jacob Manley finished 3-0. The results of all five matches can be seen here.

Additional Schedule Changes

Two matches have been rescheduled due to the Jets advancing to the semi-state in football. The dual with Garrett has been moved from November 26 to January 8, 2019 and the Bellmont dual has moved to December 18. The current 2018 - 2019 Schedule with these changes can be viewed by clicking the Schedule link above or by clicking this link.

Schedule Change

Bellmont has cancelled the Main Event scheduled on 12/22/2018. So, the BAGUBAs will be participating in the Super Dual at Yorktown that they had previously dropped out of. This event will be held on 12/15/2018. The updated 2018 - 2019 Schedule with this change can be viewed by clicking the Schedule link above or by clicking this link.

2018-19 Schedule Posted

The schedule for 2018-2019 is now available. There are several changes from the previous season. The IHSAA now requires six dual meets per team instead of the previous four dual requirement. New dual meets were added with Garrett and New Haven. The dual with Yorktown has been replaced with one against another new team for AC, Columbia City. One tournament had to be dropped from the schedule to allow for the two new dual meets, so the BAGUBAs will no longer be participating in the Super Dual that rotated between Yorktown and New Haven. The entire 2018 - 2019 Schedule can be viewed by clicking the Schedule link above or by clicking this link.

The roster page has also been reset to prepare for 2018-2019. They will be updated after practice begins and this year's roster is known. You can still view the old pages by clicking the links at the top of the page for the year you want to view.
