Records/History Update

The records and history pages were updated to include the results 0f the 2020-2021 season. Three more BAGUBAs joined the list of state qualifiers as Logan Uhlman and Alex Currie qualified at 126 and 152 respectively while Blake Heyerly earned a medal for 8th place at 189. Alex and Blake put their names in the books in several categories. Alex joined the list of wrestlers with 100 or more career wins, currently at 114. They are both on the list for season wins with Blake tying for 2nd with 42 and Alex tying for 5th with 39. They both moved on the list pins records. They tied for 2nd in the season pins with 28 each this year. Alex has 69 career pins to tie for 6th and Blake has 58 career pins for a 13th place tie. Three new brother teams were added. Alex and Trevor came in at 15th place, Jacob and Evan McAfee entered in 40th place and Chance and Cashton Reynolds are 43rd. The Collier brothers, Lucas, Joseph and Joshua moved up two spots to 42nd. The team finished with a 15-9 record. They wrestled 3 teams for the first time, coming away with a win over Southmont, but suffering loses to Avon and Rennsalaer Central. 2021 Wrestling State Finals

The BAGUBAs had a medal winner at state finals for the third consecutive year. Blake Heyerly finished 8th in the 195 pound weight class. Blake won an overtime match Friday night to guarantee a medal placement, but was unable to get a win on Saturday. Logan Uhlman and Alex Currie saw their seasons end on Friday night. All three of these young men will be back next season for another shot at placing. The Jets finished 54th in the team race out of 107 teams represented. 2021 Wrestling Semi-State

Three Jets will represent AC at the individual state finals this year. This makes 23 consecutive year with at least one BAGUBA participating. Logan Uhlman (126), Alex Currie (152) and Blake Heyerly (195) all placed third in their weight class. They will face a runner-up from another semi-state next Friday. 2021 Wrestling Regional

AC will take five of their eight regional qualifiers on to next week's semi-state. Alex Currie and Blake Heyerly led the way way with individual championships. Alex won all three of his matches by pin and all of them taking less than a minute! Evan McAfee placed third and Logan Uhlman and Trevor Currie finished fourth. The BAGUBAs finished fourth in the team scores behind Bellmont, Jay County and Bluffton. 2021 Wrestling Sectional

Eight BAGUBAs advanced to the regional round of the state tournament by placing in the top four of the weight class at Jay County sectional. The placements were evenly distributed as the Jets had two champions, two seconds, two thirds and two fourths. Alex Currie (152)  and Blake Heyerly (195) won their weight class while Logan Uhlman (126) and Trevor Currie (170) paced second. AC finished fourth in the team race, but were only 3.5 points behind third place Norwell.The regional will be back at Jay County next weekend.  The team scores, results of the championship matches and individual results for all of the Adams Central wrestlers are on this page.

ACAC Individual Tournament

The Jet sent eight BAGUBAs to the championship match of the ACAC tournament and claimed three titles. Alex Currie, Trevor Currie and Blake Heyerly all pinned their opponents at 152, 170 and 195 respectively. Logan Uhlman (126), Evan McAfee (132), Cashton Reynolds (145), Caden Funk (160) and Keegan Bluhm (182) paced second. Finn Meyer (103) and Cody Lautzenheiser (220) placed third while Joshua Collier (120) and Dakota Perry (138) finished in fifth place. AC was second in the team race behind Jay County. Wrestling Jet Invitational

Three BAGUBAs claimed individual titles at this year's Jet Invitational. Logan Uhlman won 126, Alex Curie won 152 and Blake Heyerly won 195. Evan McAfee (132) and Trevor Currie (170) paced second. Cowan won the team championship is a close race with Huntington North and Bishop Dwenger. The Jets finished fourth out of the 10 teams entered. Adams Central versus Delta & Monroe Central

Monroe Central was added to the schedule as a last minute replacement for the New Haven dual that could not be rescheduled, so last night's match had three rounds of Varsity duals instead of being a single dual against Delta. The Jets won both of their matches, defeating Delta 43-32 and Monroe Central 63-3. Every BAGUBA won at least one match with Logan Uhlman, Evan McAfee, Alex Currie, Keegan Bluhm, Blake Heyerly and Caleb Sheets winning both matches. The results are saved separately on the website. Homestead 45 Adams Central 33

AC got off to a fast start against Homestead, building a 33-3 lead, but the Spartans finished even stronger with seven straight wins for a 45-33 final. Evan McAfee, Alex Currie, Caden Funk, Keegan Bluhm and Blake Heyerly scored falls for the BAGUBAs. Trevor Currie added the other win with a decision. IHSWCA Team State Duals

The Jets went into the seeded sixth and came out a place lower in seventh place after finishing the day with two wins and two losses. AC defeated Southmont (43-30) and Wabash (48-18), but fell to Cowan (51-23) and Rensselaer Central (47-36). The lost to Rensselaer came down to the last match. Four BAGUBAs; Logan Uhlman, Alex Currie, Trevor Currie and Blake Heyerly, were undefeated for the day. Blake, Alex and Trevor all pinned all four of their opponents. Caden Funk ended the day with three wins and only one loss. The individual results results for all four matches can be found on this page.

Columbia City 54 Adams Central 16

AC lost the first three matches of the evening by decision and couldn't get any momentum after that as they fell to Columbia City by the same score as last year, 54-16. Keegan Bluhm, Blake Heyerly and Logan Uhlman were the only BAGUBAs to win their match-ups with Keegan and Blake scoring falls while Logan had a major decision. AC forfeited two weight classes. The Jets will have time to heal as their next match will be the IHSWCA Team Duals at the Allen County Memorial Coliseum on January 2, 2021. Yorktown Duals

A depleted BAGUBA team still managed to finish 2-2 at the Yorktown duals. AC forfeited two weight classes in each match but still defeated Lakeland and Yorktown. They lost to Bishop Dwenger and dropped a close 39-37 decision to Avon. Blake Heyerly was the only Jet to go undefeated on the day. Evan McAfee, Alex Currie, Caden Funk, Trevor Currie and Keegan Bluhm won three matches against only one loss. The individual results for all four dual meets can be found on this page.

ACAC Round-Robin Duals

Adams Central finished second in the duals portion of the conference falling only to Jay County by a 42-30 score. The BAGUBAs easily defeated the rest of the field with wins over Woodlan (66-12), Heritage (69-12), Southern Wells (83-0), Bluffton (63-0) and South Adams (60-24). The tournament saw several forfeits for most teams as injuries and sickness took their toll. Logan Uhlman, Alex Currie, Caden Funk, and Blake Heyerly finished the duals with prefect 6-0 records while Finn Meyer, Cashton Reynolds, Trevor Currie, and Keegan Bluhm had five victories against only a single loss. Garrett 47 Adams Central 27

The BAGUBAs led 2A No. 2 rated Garrett 27-21 with four weight classes left, but the Railroaders won all of the remaining matches to pull away for a 45-27 victory. Alex Currie and Blake Heyerly had the only falls for the Jets. Logan Uhlman, Trevor Currie, and Keegan Bluhm remained unbeaten with victories. Milan Duals

The BAGUBAs returned to their winning form by dominating the Milan Duals. AC only lost 8 individual matches all day with 9 Jets winning al of their matches. COVID may have affected the tournament as Lawrenceburg dropped out and the other 4 teams had 5 or more forfeits in their lineups. Finishing 4-0 for AC were Logan Uhlman (126), Evan McAfee (132), Dakota Perry (138), Cashton Reynolds (145), Alex Currie (152), Trevor Currie (170), Keegan Bluhm (182), Blake Heyerly (195) and Caleb Sheets (285). Bellmont 53 Adams Central 25

The Jets opened the new season with a tough 53-25 loss to county rival Bellmont. Five BAGUBAs won their match ups with Alex Currie, Keegan Bluhm and Blake Heyerly scoring falls. Logan Uhlman won by major decision. The results for all Varsity and JV matches are on this page.

2020-21 Team Roster

The BAGUBAs will start the 2020-2021 season with 22 members. It will be a young team with only one Senior and 3 Juniors. Nine Sophomores and nine Freshmen complete the roster. The Jets will be led by returning state placer Alex Currie and Junior Blake Heyerly. Sophomores Logan Uhlman and Gavin Cook will also be relied on heavily after winning 30+ matches in their first season. 2020-21 Schedule Posted

The schedule for 2020-2021 is now available. No new events were added to the schedule this year, but the BAGUBAs will be hosting the ACAC Round-Robin Duals. The Jets will also host 3 dual, the JV Invitational and the varsity invitational. The entire 2020 - 2021 Schedule can be viewed by clicking the Schedule tab above or by clicking this link.

The roster page has also been reset to prepare for 2018-2019. They will be updated after practice begins and this year's roster is known. You can still view the old pages by clicking the links at the top of the page for the year you want to view.
