State Finals

AC celebrated their return to state by placing a BAGUBAs the podium for the first time sine 2022. Maverick Dubach defeated Kameron Miksell of Western Boone on Friday to guarantee a medal. Saturday was difficult as he lost three close matches, including an overtime decision, to finish in Eighth place returning. Dylan Ogg and Brason Schortgen ended terrific seasons on Friday. Fort Wayne Semi-State

The BAGUBAs are returning to the state finals after a one-year absence. Dylan Ogg, Brason Schortgen and Maverick Dubach all pinned their opponents in the ticket round to advance to next week's finals. The Jets tied for fifth with Garrett in the team standings. Dylan Ogg was the only champion for AC. Maverick Dubach placed third and Brason Schortgen finished in fourth place. You can view the Track Wrestling brackets, teams scores and results here. Jay County Regional

The Jets advanced six wrestlers to the Semi-state level with two champions, 2 seconds, a third and a fourth. Dylan Ogg (138) and Brason Schortgen (150) defeated their Bellmont counterparts for the second week in a row to win their weight class. Kale Beer (126) and Maverick Dubach (157) lost close matches to finish second. The team finished in third place behind Bellmont and Delta. Jay County Sectional

Eleven of the 13 BAGUBAs who participated in the 2025 sectional advanced to next week's regional. The other two finished in fifth pace and will be alternates. Dylan Ogg (138), Brason Schortgen (150) and Maverick Dubach (157) won sectional championships. Myles Kaehr (113), Kale Beer (126), Max Byerly (165), Matt Heiser (175) and  Ethan Funk (215) placed second. Bellmont won the team title and the Jets finished second. ACAC Tournament

The BAGUBAs won their third straight ACAC tournament by the smallest margin possible one-half point! Ethan Funk, seeded second, pinned number one seed Jake Boots of Bluffton to put the Jets up by 4.5 points. Jay County had one more chance to pull out a victory with a win at 285 that included bonus points. Gavin Rumple wrestled a strong match avoiding trouble, but eventually lost a close 4-3 decision. That secured the championship, though, as Jay County only received 4 points. AC had 5 individual champions, Dylan Ogg (138), Brason Schortgen (150), Maverick Dubach (157), Max Byerly (165) and Ethan Funk (215). AC Invitational

The AC Invitational expanded from 10 to 11 teams, so a new format was used with two sessions of round-robin matches withing each weight class. When the long day ended the Jets were able to held off Class 1A rival Prairie Heights by a score of 312.5 to 305.5 to claim the championship. Myles Kaehr and Brason Schortgen were the only BAGUBAs to win their weight class. Kale Beer, Jackson Bingham and Dylan Ogg finished second. Adams Central 66 Delta 10

What was supposed to be a close match between the #2 ranked 2A team and the #2 ranked 1A never materialized. Delta elected to sit many of their varsity wrestlers on Senior Night and the result was a quick win for the Jets, 66-10. Maverick Dubach, Jaret Smith, Xander Schwartz and Myles Kaehr recorded pins for the BAGUBAs while Kale Beer, Jackson Bingham and Dylan Ogg won by technical fall. There were no JV matches since many of the Delta reserves moved up to varsity. The results the varsity matches can be seen here.

IHSWCA 1A Team State

The BAGUBAs advanced to the 1A Team State championship match for the third year in a row, but again fell short with a loss to North Miami, 37-32. The Jets won their first match against Northfield easily, 59-20 and then advanced to the finals with the most exciting match of the tournament against Tell City. AC trailed 37-21 with just three weight classes to go, but they won those three with a tech fall and two pins to pull out a 38-37 victory. Jaret Smith returned to the varsity line-up by winning all three of his matches. Myles Kaehr, Maverick Dubach and Dylan Ogg also finished the day 3-0. Homestead 50 Adams Central 21

The Jets traveled to Fort Wayne to take on a strong Homestead team and fell by a score of 50-21. Dylan Ogg was the only BAGUBA to record a pin for the against the Spartans, but Maverick Dubach and Max Nussbaum earned bonus points with a technical fall and major decision respectively. This challenge was a good tune-up for the Jets as they compete for the 1A team state championship on Saturday. You can fine results of the individual varsity matches and five reserve matches here.

Bellmont 40 Adams Central 33

AC faced their county rival and lost a close match 40-33. Both teams won seven weight classes, but Bellmont had five pins and two technical falls while the Jets scored just three falls and one tech fall. Ethan Funk (215), Kale Beer (126) and Max Byerly (165) had the pins for the BAGUBAs and Maverick Dubach had the technical fall. Willey Holiday Duals

The BAGUBAs won all 10 matches over two days and repeated as champions of the Willey Holiday Duals at Lafayette Jefferson. Dylan Ogg and Brason Schortgen went undefeated at 10-0. Xander Schwartz went 5-0 filling in Maverick Dubach who was ill. Every BAGUBA who wrestled finished with a winning record. The Jets defeated West Lafayette (67-10), Lafayette Central Catholic (65-15), Lafayette Jeff (50-27), Seeger (49-20), Calumet (53-18), Winimac (56-15), Kokomo, plus several wrestlers from other teams (67-12), Maconaquah (42-35), Rossville (47-28) and Faith Christian (52-30). Yorktown Super 10

AC went 3-1 in their pool to advance to the third-fourth place match at the Yorktown Super 10. The lost a close match to Center Grove, 39-32, and finished fourth for the day. Their other duals were wins against Marion (57-18), Lakeland (56-22) and South Bend Washington (82-0). Their loss in the pool was another close match against New Haven, 42-25. Dylan Ogg, Maverick Dubach and Matt Heiser finished the day undefeated for the BAGUBAs.Brason Schortgen and Max Byerly only had one loss. The results of all five duals can be found on this page.

Adams Central 41 Columbia City 31

The BAGUBAs won an exciting dual against the Columbia City, 41-31. The Eagles took an early 25-5 lead by winning the lower weights before the Jets seven straight matches to clinch the victory. The meet featured two overtime matches with both teams winning one. Brason Schortgen and Maverick Dubach had the only pins for AC. Kale Beer and Dylan Ogg won by tech fall. New Haven 44 Adams Central 26

AC suffered their first loss of the season to one of the best teams in northeast Indiana, New Haven, by a score of 44-26. Brason Schortgen, Matt Heiser and Max Nussbaum had pins for the BAGUBAs and Jackson Bingham scored a technical fall. The results of all the varsity matches and the one JV match are on this page.

ACAC Round Robin Duals

The Jets successfully defended their ACAC Duals title, but not without being challenged. AC defeated Jay County 47-30, Southern Wells 75-6, Heritage 62-18, South Adams 40-27, Woodlan 72-11 and Bluffton 43-30. They trailed South Adams 27-15 before wining the last 6 matches to secure the win. BAGUBAs Matt Heiser, Max Byerly, Maverick Dubach, Kale Beer, Dylan Ogg, and Brason Schortgen all went undefeated on the day. You can see the individual results of all the matches here.

Adams Central 48 Norwell 23

The BAGUBAs opened the 24-25 season with a dual victory over the Norwell Knights. The new scoring changes were evident as the Jets had three technical falls out of their nine match victories. Ethan Funk, Ezra Liechty and Jackson Bingham had pins for AC. The tech falls went to Myles Kaehr, Brason Schortgen and Maverick Dubach.  The results of all of the varsity and JV duals are on this page.

2024-25 Roster

Adams Central will start the season with 18 BAGUBAs on the roster. Matt Heiser is the only Senior on this year's team. He'll be joined by 7 Juniors, 4 Sophomores and 6 Freshmen. The entire roster can be found here.

2024-25 Schedule Released

The schedule for next season is now available. There are no new teams or tournaments this year, but there is big news. The BAGUBAs will be hosting the IHSWCA 1A Team State this year! This is a big opportunity to showcase our program and community. More details will be available closer to the January 11 date. The other change is to the match with Bellmont. That dual will be a Friday night event on January 3 instead of a midweek match like past years. You can find the entire schedule on this page.

2024-25 Schedule/Roster Reset

The schedule and roster pages have been reset to prepare for 2024-2025. They will be updated after practice begins and this year's roster and schedule are known.
